floating front cap

We just purchased a used 2013 Cougar 24RKS. Noticed the front cap is not bonded to the frame. Talked to the salesman/owner and he is an OutdoorsRV dealer but is familiar with Keystone. He said in 2012 and 2013 Keystone tried what they refered to as a floating front cap. This was to allow for expansion and contraction of the cap. Didn't work so they went back to a bonded cap. Actually they went with a one piece fiberglas unit on some units. Cougar being one of them. Any comments on this.

Talked to Keystone today and the engineer said that in fact for 2012 and 2013 they did in fact have what they referred to as a hung Filon front cap. So if you notice a waving on the front cap of your Cougar (we have a 2013 24RKSWE) as you go down the hiway it is nornal. ???
