Searched the forum but couldn't find a description of anyone taking on this project.
We have purchased a stack w/d that fits into our closet perfectly. Our Montana is already plumbed for H/C water and water discharge but not for the dryer vent. The exhaust from the dryer can go out the side of the dryer (there is a knock-out) which means installing a vent cover on the side next to the door...OR... it can go straight down to the floor.
I'm considering going thru the floor, putting in a 90 degree sweep on the underside and installing a dust collector blast gate to open/close the exhaust. Based on initial investigation, I can miss both wall studs and floor joists (but have no idea what runs thru the floor under the closet).
Any idea or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
