Looking at an 2012 299rks Cougar High Country 5th wheel,nice looking unit, any pros or cons? Pulllng a 2014 Outback 298RE TT now. Thanks for any input.

We have a 2011 RKS but haven't used it yet due to limited time spent making it compliant for use in Australia - almost finished.
I have some concerns re storage in the rear kitchen due to 'rocking' on our bad roads. There has been some posts about this and it appears to get down to how its packed and also if air bag hitch is used.

We have been very happy with our RK model. As mentioned, care must be taken while loading the kitchen but I have found that carrying 1/3 tank of fresh water tames the bounce. We are very comfortable with the floorplan.
Most folks who go from a TT to a 5er will never go back. Good luck in your decision, Hank

We've had two rear kitchen models now and prefer this configuration over the others we've seen. More storage and counter space. Have not experienced any issues with excessive movement, things falling out of the cupboards etc. We're using the Anderson hitch so no air ride or anything special as far as set up.
One thing to look at for us was access to the fridge with the slide closed. We often stop along the way for lunch or breaks and access to the fridge and the ability to use the bathroom etc is something we were adamant about. Also comes in handy if just staying for a short overnight en-route and not practical to open the slides or unhook.

How do you like the Anderson? We had the B&W Companion on a toy hauler nice set up,looking at Anderson this time because of the weight,not young any more😊
