TT Cover

Anyone come up with an easy way to cover a TT; then remove the cover so it can again be easily placed over the trailer?

Here's the trick we found. Always work from front to back. Lay the cover out in front of the TT. Make sure the sides are folder to the center. Take the back of the cover and start by pulling it up to the roof. Then pull it back over the roof being careful not to pull over the rain spouts and watch your step around the vents antenna etc. Once you get the cover as close to the back edge as possible, work the sides down, the back down and then pull the front of the cover over the nose. Taking the cover off is just the reverse. Remove the cover from the front of the TT, and pull it back over the nose to the roof. then pull the sides up to the roof and fold them from the edge of the roof to the center. Now roll the cover from the front to the rear. A 30gal. garbage can works great for storing the cover. Roll it off the roof and stuff it into the can. When you pull it out, lay the cover out on the ground in front of the TT. Pull it up over the nose using the back edge of the cover. When the cover is on the roof simply lay the sides back over the TT and pull the front back down over the nose. Works well but is much easier with 2 people. One on the roof and one on the ground.

Porta Garage?

We don't cover in CT, too many critters looking for cozy winter residence. Pull in sliders, STAINLESS STEEL WOOL in all thru spaces, put out rat/mice bait, and electronic repellant, open Max-Air vents 1/2 way, winterize plumbing.,and cover tires. WD40 on hydraulics, all done! Don't use drier sheets, when the scent is gone, they makes excellent mouse house!

Only one mouse problem in last 15 years!

Found out today one person can secure the cover over the trailer but definitely would have been easier with two. Placed the bag with cover on the rear portion of the roof; then removed the cover. Spread the cover from the rear to the front.

If a person had been on the ground they could have helped even the sides and pull the cover forward as needed. Initially ended up with too much cover on the front end which required going up/down the ladder a few times to reposition the front end to ensure it fit properly.

I would definitely recommend two people, much safer with two.
