While on my trip, I pulled over to park on a tight road. I was next to a telephone pole. By the time I got back, a van had parked in front of me, he left me a little room.... I thought..... My rear side awning rubbed the pole and left 10 little holes about 3-4 foot down the side:eek: Is this awning tape a good solution? What are your suggestions? I will get a pic. Where is a good place to check for new material/awning just in case it bugs the crap out of me, which it is now!! LOL

Awning tape is "as good as the adhesive and cleanliness of the awning". So, if you get quality tape and apply it properly, it will last "for a while".... Depending on whether it's on top (out of sight) or on bottom (glaring at you every time you sit down) you may or may not be "satisfied" with the outcome. If it "really bugs you", I'm sure your dealer would be happy to replace your damaged fabric. Chances are you'd be looking at $400-600 for the "privilege"....

There are a number of internet alternatives available. While I can't vouch for the customer service or the quality of the product, many people have reported buying replacement awning fabric on EBay. If you're relatively handy with "things mechanical" you can easily replace the fabric with a little effort and the help of a "strong friend".

Here's one link to some of the EBay listings: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR4.TRC2.A0.H0.Xrv+awn ing+material.TRS0&_nkw=rv+awning+material&_sacat=0
