Howdy All;

Title pretty much sums up my question. When did the "Yellow stickers"
I keep seeing come about? My truck is a 2004 and all it has is the VIN
sticker with weight for front and rear axles.

Interesting question. I've wondered the same, so I looked for some info. Found this:

Maybe your 2004 has it somewhere else? Although the rule was created in 2003 I bet they weren't standardized by then. I recently looked for the same sticker on a 2012 Dodge truck and didn't see it on the B pillar.

It appears that they became common in 2006.

The VIN sticker has the stock tire size and they are assumed to be at max pressures.

That said tires need to be inflated to match the load they are carrying.
