On my old 2004 Outback 21RS, I used automotive heat-rejection window film to control heat inside the camper in the summer. It was also nice for privacy.
On my new 2015 Bullet 310BHS, I have decided to take a cheaper and easier approach to heat control--at least for now. I MAY eventually tint all the windows, but for now, I used Solar Screen on the INSIDE.

I did this on the inside of all the windows on a house we used to rent, and IT WORKS!
Yes, the windows come slightly "tinted" from the factory; but this does absolutely nothing for heat and UV control. So I bought two rolls of Solar Screen from Home Depot ($30), and cut pieces to fit each window. I cut a matching radius in each corner, so the screens match the size and shape of the window frames. I simply removed 2 of the window frame screws from the top of each window, added dimpled finishing washers to the screws, and used them to attach the screens.
I cut a radiused notch on the left side of some screens to go around the window opening knob. On the large window in my super slide, I used 4 frame screws to attach the screen to prevent sagging due to the larger size.

On the camper's entry door, I removed the inner window frame, cut a piece of screen to fit, used spray adhesive on the back to attach it to the glass and re-installed the frame.

The camper is NOTICEABLY COOLER now, and the A/C isn't working quite as hard. And I must say, I think it actually looks pretty tasteful. You can still see outside just fine.
I also took the liberty of adding kitchen drawer knobs to the bottom bar of the pleated window shades, to make it easier to pull them closed. The DW likes the idea.
