I used a screwdriver and pry around edge. Mine snapped right off and back on.

Just using your fingers, I did change three on our Outback with the ones that you can close the little vents.

Where did you get yours that you can close? I was thinking just yesterday I wanted to do that!

Amazon, just make sure that you measure the opening and the insert. In our camper I had to remove the other plastic part.

This is the new vent we installed, I changed three, 1 in the living room, bathroom and master. For the kids bunks I used the D & W (5840WH) Aireport Ducted Air Conditioner Ceiling Vent.

How did you remove your AC vent covers? My vents look just like your picture. I need to remove one because it is partially blocked by some loose foil tape.

You are replying to a post that's over 4 1/2 yrs old. Camping Buddy's Last Activity: 04-05-2017 10:22 PM. I doubt they will reply. In the photos I see 4 screws. If you don't have the screws try gently prying on the outer ring with a plastic putty knife.

I was trying to reply to the original poster nesparky. My vents look exactly like the picture of his vents. Slots, no screws. I realize his is an old post but I was hoping nesparky is still available. How do I replay to a specific poster?

HBandBW, I find it less confusing to quote the poster or address it to a specific poster as I have done. Otherwise you assume you're replying to the last post. Those air diffusers just pry off. A small screwdriver, a plastic trim removal tool or putty knife will usually work.

Added, the Op haven't posted in a over a year and a half either.

Just pry gently with your fingers a little at a time. Or, you can buy a set of plastic pry tools.
