Ok, this post is for a friend who is bringing their new Mobile Suites ( i know not a Keystone product) but I thought the collective experience may shed some insight. They traded the Open Range in for the Mobile Suites and were taking it back from FLA to VT. They got about 1k miles to PA and on one axle the tires were BALD! They are in the process of getting new tires from a CW to transport it there and have it checked out.

The questions are:

1. does this sound like mis-alignment of shaft?
2. If so, why was it not found when unit was delivered to dealer in FLA from manufacturer?
3. Could something have happened on the dealer's lot that caused this?

Thank you

Where are the tires worn? If both are worn on the inside it would be the camber is off. If thats the case a new axle would be the cure. Can't find a shop on the east coast to bend it back. My trailer is the same but not as bad, last one the same but had it bent back in Amarillo.

I've heard several stories of tire issues on long hauls. Most I've heard are overloaded, as people try to stuff their campers with belongings. Unfortunately these trailers can only handle about 500lbs on the road over ULW. On hard pothole jack the axle and or the unbolts on the leafs, and poof. If it's all on one axle on both sides, I would suspect excessive weight loads on the blown axle end of the unit, or poor hitch leveling. Could be other stuff, but going on the details you gave, I'd rule all this out first.

I had my axle and wheel alignment checked here. http://ruhlsframeandalignment.com/ my trailer axles where in spec so I didn't need them adjusted. It cost me $78. I just put new tires on the trailer and wanted make sure they last as long as possible. If your in south central PA they can align your trailer. They do a lot of work for the local RV centers.

Well, my friends got new tires mounted via Camping World and took unit to a alignment shop and were told that the axle was not aligned properly, had it aligned and are on the road again. I am sure they will be contacting DRV Suites for reimbursement.

I doubt it was overloaded as mentioned as they had taken the Open Range down for trade in so had minimal items on board. Basically transferred items to new Mobile Suites unit and started traveling home.
