On our Passport 2650, when we are drying camping the water pump will continue to sound like it is pumping water after the faucets have been turned off. This only happens on day two or three when the batteries are less than 1/2 charged. The pump will not shut off until we turn off the water pump switch. We have checked that there is plenty of water in the tank also. We do not have this problem when we are plugged into shore power. Any thoughts?

Most likely the pump isn't developing enough pressure to activate the internal switch.
Low battery will cause it to run "slow", not building pressure.

Thanks for the feedback. In terms of a fix, does the pump need to be replaced? Or is there something else that can be done to repair it?

I doubt the pump is the problem. What are you running as far as battery(s)?

I think the fix will be battery power.

I am running (2) 12V batteries in parallel.

Group 24's?

If so the available amp hours may not be enough depending on what else your running. Lights, refer, furnace etc.

If your going to dry camp on a regular basis, I would consider a pair of 6V in series, your amp hours will be a whole lot more, and solar would extend it.

Thanks for the feedback Chuckster. Appreciate the insight, I will look into the 6V.
