Question on underbelly foam insulation at hole locations

I have taken delivery of a new Summerland 2020QB travel trailer and am working my way down the inspection checklist at leisure in my driveway.

Today I did the underbelly inspection and found there are holes in the floor where wires and pipes come out and there is some kind of foam insulation applied to seal the hole. In most cases, this is done well. However, in a couple of places, it isn't done well and the bare floor is exposed if you look closely.

What is the best way to patch this up? Is there some spray can of foam I can just buy? I only want to touch up these holes, and not to foam spray the whole underbelly.

Most garden centers that handle pond and garden pool supplies will have a UV resistant foam in cans. Usually it's black in color. It sets up well and is formulated to withstand the vibration, water and UV that your trailer is subjected to. A 12 ounce can will probably be enough to touch up your entire underbelly.

I would just use "Great Stuff" the window foam version, from the hardware store. You could also use some heavy duty black duct tape, like gorilla tape.

I would just use "Great Stuff" the window foam version, from the hardware store. You could also use some heavy duty black duct tape, like gorilla tape.


We use this stuff. Want black? Let it set for a day and use a spraycan.
