Hey Guys,
I'm moving up from a 2500 SRW to a 3500 DRW.
It looks like the Firestone part number is the same for both vehicles.
Is anyone running bags on their 3500? I'm hauling a TH with a pin
Between 2700 and 3100 lbs. I was curious to see if you guys thought I should sell the bags or bolt them onto the 3500.

Thank You.

I have a 2015 Chevy 3500 with the Firestone wireless Air Bags on my truck but I find I only need to set the fob at 5 Lbs

I have a 21013 Chevy 3500 DRW and tow a 36ft 5th wheel. Fully loaded with DW, dog, misc. necessary stuff and the 5-er, it settles very little so I don't think you would ever need them. But, why not? Shouldn't hurt.

Have you looked at PacBrake air bags? I had the Firestone bags when I had a 2500 and they worked well, but with the weight of a TH and a 3500 being a heavy duty truck, the Pacbrake bags are thicker and better constructed, in my opinion. Like I said I had Firestone bags and they worked fine, but I really like my Pacbrakes more

My 5er is over 3k on the pin as well. I put over 60k miles on my truck last year towing trailers and never saw a need to add airbags to my 3500 DRW.

Ditto. 2013 Chevrolet 3500 DRW towing a 40' Alpine. I see no need for airbags, but to each his own.

If you already have the airbags why not? I put my Timbrens on my 3500 that I had for my 2500, better than down the road needing them and having to buy another set.
