Can anyone tell me where to get the blanks for the "ENTRANCE DOOR" of an Alpine 3500RE. The original keys is rounded at the top that distinguishes it from the other locks on the outside which are square. Keystone has sent us the square type blanks, but local locksmiths are unable to use them as they are not the proper blanks. If anyone knows, please let me know. I am not against paying for them, I just need to make an extra set of entrance door keys.

Joseph,

I had the exact same issue as you did. You would not believe what I had to go through to get a spare key for the entry door on my 2010 Alpine 3500RE. I started the project back in November with the same results you had. Wrong key sent by Keystone, locksmith does not have the blanks, called a place in FL that was referred to by Keystone (they ordered a key for me but it was wrong again), called Keystone again, etc. Cut to the final chapter of this saga, I just got a spare key yesterday. It is finally the right one!

Here is the short cut to get the key you desire. Contact Dan Hottinger at Southco at 321-638-4990 or email [email protected]. He was very helpful and got me the right key. Give him the number that is engraved on the key shaft and he should be able to get you the right key.

I hope you have better luck than I did. This info should give you a good head start.
