Hello everyone,
My wife and I are really interested in the 2016 31 BHPR for our family. Love the trailer except one very small/annoying item. The kitchen table is extremely low where when I sit down at it, I only have about 1 inch of clearance over th tops of my legs. I havent seen this in other trailers we looked at and I not sure how I could fix it. Any thoughts? I would hate for this to be a deal breaker but the dealer as of today said it cant be modified.

Thanks a million
Bob

That is strange that a table cant be modified. I would look at another model or dealer. The problem may be your sale guy they will tell you any thing to keep things simple.

The legs (tubes) come in different lengths, could be as simple as changing them.

Thank you guys for the replies. I thought it was very odd that the original height was as low as it was. When I mentioned modifying the table to raise it, the first thing out of their mouth was I would void my warranty if I started drilling holes in the walls. The dealer is supposed to call the MFG on Monday to see what options we have. I really like the trailer and the overall weight of it and hope we can make something happen because I would be disappointed if the table height was a deal breaker.

Sounds like you have the table that slides up/down on a bracket mounted to the wall with a strut. Those are not adjustable.

I have this model. The table is adjustable to two positions, one for sleeping (bed) conversion where the table rests on the benches/ seats and hooks to a wall bracket (I guess so the table does not slide away from the wall). The second / normal sitting position the table again attaches to two wall brackets. These wall brackets are not adjustable as they are simply screwed in so if you had longer table legs you would need to raise the wall brackets to.

Why not eliminate the uncomfortable dinette / bed for free standing table and chairs?

We have a 2013 and I have never noticed that the table is tight, seems like normal height to me. Connects to the wall just under the window and has a swing down leg. If there is room to move it closer to the window, find something that can go under the leg. We do not use it often as we are usually outside but you need to fit. We like the benches and the wide table.
