View Full Version : Wires going to the frame of my Passport

Good evening,
Today I adjusted my brakes due to continuing weak braking I've described in one of my prior posts. Next week we are going to the East coast of Florida so I will see if the problem is solved. While under the trailer I spotted 2 wires going to the frame. I suspect they are ground wires for 12 and 110 volt systems. My main concern, however, is that they are very close to the right rear wheel and are going to be invariably destroyed in the event of tire delamination. Would you leave them as is, or modification is necessary? Best way to do it.
Thank you.

I would probably put a nice wire loom over them and go about your business.
Another option is to extend the wires and route them around the perimeter of the wheel well, that way they wouldn't be so much in the line of fire but again I would put them in a loom.

At the risk of stating the obvious, make sure to unplug, and disconnect your battery, just in case these are live wires.

I'd consider rerouting them as suggested. Keep a close watch on my tires, pressures, and speed then enjoy your rig.
