Cooktop Vent Fan

Can any of you fine folks tell me where I can find a thread about fixing cooktop vent motors? It's either that or the switch that's not working.

Could also be the thermistor in the positive lead to the fan. Common failure, I have just taken them out without any ill affects.

Chuckster, would that be the odd looking item wired off to one side of the fan? Looks like two leads going into it?

If you have a two speed fan, I think it's for that. The thermistor looks like an in-line resistor going to the motor.
