Jeykell island , Georgia

Looking to go to Jeykell island, any info would be appreciated. How is the campground ? I hear biking is great, scenic? Thanks

Never stayed in cg, but met the host. Nice folks. CG is clean with lots of trees. Very scenic area lots of old,southern mansions, guided tours to Cumberland Island. Four star restaurant at the country club (it's where they filmed "Bagger Vance).

We have stayed there a dozen or so times and like the campground. The sites aren't big but most are pull through and there is plenty of shade.

Good biking and hiking on the way to the beach. Try to time your stay so low tide is around noon. The beach has suffered from beach erosion so at high tide not much beach to walk or bike ride on.

A few decent restaurants on the island.

Plenty of semi-full timers mostly Canadian but friendly, which is usually not the case in other parks.
