Good evening, I'm trying to figure out what the capacity of the fuel tank is on my 2005 Raptor is? Thanks Scott

Very seldom use the fuel station pump. Always take 5 gallons of gas can for bikes and quads. More important is the gas for the gen.

The generator is what I needed to figure it out for! Next I need to find out how many hours to a gallon of gas

If there is no gas in the tank currently, just fill it full, then go camping, run the generator and keep track of how long you run it. Then, at the end of the weekend, fill the tank again. That will give you the gallons used and with the run time, you can then determine, based on your initial fillup, how many hours you should get based on the amount of gas used during the weekend.

Keep in mind that the fuel useage will vary based on the generator load, so if you use it for 6 or 8 hours a day and all you're doing is charging your battery and occasionally watching TV or using the microwave, you'll use significantly less fuel than if you're running two air conditioners.

Until you get a "feel" for how long you can go, just keep track of how long you're running the generator and how much gas you pump into the tank.

If you can access the underside of the RV and look at the fuel tank, there should be a decal on it "somewhere" that gives the dimensions and capacity. Of course, with an RV 10 years old, that decal may be "long gone".....

Just remember the Sea-Foam or Sta-Bil. 30 gallons lasts a lot longer than you would think.

Unless you're really Boon-docking, I'd start with 5 or 10 gals, in the tank and a spare can! 10 is an easy number to work with when doing the math.

Enjoy, and Good Luck!

I agree. 30 gallons last a long time . I mostly dry camp because the th is too long for most rv camp grounds in califorina. We go out to the desert 4 days run 2 airs tv accasionaly microwave. From 8:00 am to 10:00 pm still have quarter of a tank .. Left. bike & quads I bring 5 gallon can.l
