Is It Worth It To Buy The All Weather Cover?

I live in sunny SoCal and I am looking to buy a cover for my Raptor 300MP. Is it worth it to buy the beefier all weather cover or should I just buy the cheaper basic cover which is a couple hundred dollars less. The reason I ask is because I was told that even the all weather cover will start ripping after a couple of years from the sun beating down on it. Am I going to be replacing the more expensive cover every couple of years as I would the cheaper basic cover?
