Tire for Denali?

I have a 2013 GMC 2500HD Denali with the 20inch wheels. The factory tire size is 265-60-20. Its soon time for tires. I'm really not happy with the wrangler SA tires that are from factory. Anybody else have a recommendation, or even know what's available in that size? I'm looking for an A/T Load E tire. Any thoughts?

Not much available in that size, but if you check Discount Tire Direct they do have some Cooper Discoverers. I've never used them personally, but know people who've had good luck. They have a pretty good warranty as well.

Thanks. Thats about all I found as well. I may go with the Coopers and give them a try. I'm a snowmobiler as well and the Wranglers just don't do well in the snow pulling a trailer.

Look at the Michelin LTX series. Put those on my wife's Yukon a couple of years ago, they have at least 70K miles on them and still look good. Just put the more aggressive version on my truck, very happy with them so far. They are a little pricey, but they seem to wear much better, at least twice as long, as the BF Goodrich that I always used to run.

Good luck finding a tire you like. The odd sizes that manufacturers are using more often is making tire size a decision criteria for me.

Look at the Michelin LTX series. Put those on my wife's Yukon a couple of years ago, they have at least 70K miles on them and still look good. Just put the more aggressive version on my truck, very happy with them so far. They are a little pricey, but they seem to wear much better, at least twice as long, as the BF Goodrich that I always used to run.

I love the Michelin LTX series, I've used the A/T2 in the past and currently have the M/S2s on my truck with nearly 70k n them and with current wear I should be able to run them to nearly 100k. I couldn't find them in the size the OP needed, that's why I recommended to Cooper.

One thing that could be a possibility is looking at an alternate size. The 285-55R20 is only .2" shorter in diameter and there are a lot more options including the Michelin LXT A/T2

You can't go wrong with a Michelin LTX or Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2 tire. I've run them both with equally good results.

I have a set of Coopers that came with an older PU I have in AK. Good snow traction, but I think my favorite of the three is the Revo 2 for both traction, even wear and mileage.

That tire is not for the 20 in wheels. Michelin is coming out with a tire in that size but no release date I can find. If you think you can wait it might be worth it. JM2¢, Hank

Nitto makes the new Terra Grappler G2 in that size. I currently am running that tire, not that size. Don't have many miles, but it seems to be doing ok.

I had the Nitto terra grapplers on my Ram 2500. Good traction wet, dry or snow. Problem with them is they don't hold a balance and lots of vibration. My picks are Cooper discoverer at3's or Toyo open country at2's both are available in E rated. Have the Toyo's on now and they are wearing like iron. I'm not a fan of 20" wheels, they look cool but the tires are expensive.

Thanks for the all the input. I think I will end up with the Coopers. I had the open Countries on my last truck and loved them. They just don't make it in 265/60/20. I'm not a fan of the 20" wheels, but they were on the truck when I bought it. I would just hate to spend another grand on 18 inch wheels. I'm assuming more manufactures will start coming out with the 20" tires since it seems to be the trend for new trucks.

I had a 2012 Denali HD that I got less than 25K miles out of the factory Good4ayear tires. I went with the next size up Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2 tire and have been very happy with them. I put 20K miles on them before trading my truck in for a 2015. I had them move them (Wheels and Tires) to my new 2015 and I've since put another 20K miles on them and I would say I have a good 15 to 20K more miles I can put on them before I replace them. They were $100 a tire less than the Michelin's and had really good ratings on them and so far the ratings have been spot on. The only issue you may have is it might rub enough to knock the dust off of your inner fender well but it was really slight on my 2012 and only with a sharp left hand turn. It doesn't come close on my 2015.
