Got my Penguin AC unit today and getting ready for the install, what do I need to do about the holes in the roof from the vent screws? Will the AC gasket seal them or should I add sealant and let it dry before setting the unit down? It took some work but I managed to get every bit of old sealant from the vent off the roof membrane where the AC will go.

My AC install covered the entire vent area. No need to do anything.

To be on safe side, I would fill the holes with Dicor sealant (not the self-leveling type) even though the gasket will cover them. If there is a hole somewhere, you can be sure water will find it!

If I was worried about them, and didn't plan on ever removing the A/C unit I might use eternabond tape.

I would use eternabond. I just replaced my ac and there was one corner that looked like it might leak from a small tear. i cut a small piece of eternabond and placed in in the corner. the seal sits on top of this tear.

I tightened the unit to the sealing and let it sit over night and then snugged it down again the next day.
