I've had quite the string of bad luck lately:

This last adventure has me wanting to save everyone from future frustrations. My Alpine 3600RS is equipped with the Lippert leveling system (which I love BTW), however during the inspection and acceptance the dealer talked about the manual over-ride, but didn't demonstrate it. I knew it could be done, but I never ventured to figure out, until it happened to me. So, before it happens to you and you loose hydraulics', run through the process yourself to understand how the system works, for both your slide and the leveling system, if so equipped.

What you need:
corded/cordless drill w/1/4 hex head bit and an extension. You will use this to power the hydraulic motor manually.

5/32 torque wrench. You will use this to open or close each system during the over ride.

It's not overly complicated, but throw in the stress and not having the right tools on hand, makes it stressful/complicated. I fortunately had the tools needed, what frustrated me was not knowing how it worked. So while your RV is sitting comfortably not in use, go out and teach yourself how to operate the system and have the right tools on hand, in case you ever need it.
