Ok I know there are posts but here I go, my main slide would not go out, just clicking noise , about 10 panicked minutes and working the switch back and forth it took off. I read the post about loosening up the bell and moving it out a thread or 2 due to misalignment...this is the first time since bought new this has happened and I have never found the manual way to take the slide out. I watched the video at keystone forum and guess I better find it before I get stuck again...Any other info anyone can give as far as the clicking noise appreciated?

Make sure your battery is fully charged and if possible move slide while still on shore power or connected to running TV. JM2¢, Hank

Agree. I try to never operate my slides or jacks (big power users) without shore power. They require a lot of juice and if your batteries aren't really in good shape it does " stuff".

it was plugged up to shore power

If the clicking you refer to is the sound made when the motor ratchets, then the bell stop could be too tight against the frame.

So as I read somewhere I should back off the bell a thread or 2 and see if that corrects it

It's how we fixed ours. Be sure to mark the threads so you can put the jam nuts back in the same place if moving (loosening) the bell stop doesn't do it for you. You could also try having the DW work the switch while you push out on the slide. Once you overcome the pressure, the clutch will quit ratcheting and the slide will move. I don't know how much ratcheting the mechanism will take - that's why I took the advice of another forum member and loosened the bell stop. Of course, after you move the stop, check and make sure the slide closes snug on the seals. :)

update, got home and have not touched trailer since last trip, today plugged it in for 8 hours and tried the slide, ratcheting noise and no movement, will bring bigger pipe wrench home tomorrow from work and see if it helps or not by loosening up the bell...

I backed the bell out 1 turn, did not know how much to back it off? But the slide went right out, will keep checking frequently before next trip. Is 1 turn too much?

1 turn of the bell is probably less than 1". If it's working, leave it alone.

Yeah - had a neighbor at a campground ask me why I was carrying an 18" pipe wrench.

Again, the bunkhouse slide is making the clicking noise and loosened adjustment bell and it still took 30 minutes of playing with the switch to get it to go out,,,any suggestions appreciated?

does anyone know where the grounds are so I can check them?

Motor grounds for the slides? Could be either a short pigtail from the motor to the frame, or wired into the ground conductor of the wire coming from the switch. Either way, you will need to access the motor to see. My $$ is on the wired to the ground conductor. You can add a frame ground without any issue.

Yup!! There may be a square cut in the coroplast, that will be where its at. It will be at one of the tracks not in the middle. One side is "powered" and the other side is the "idler", there is a square tube that runs from the motor to the other track.
