Looking to downgrade to a smaller tt

We have a 2013 Keystone Bullet 298bhs. Love it, but finding it is just too long to take on short trips, which is what our vacation plans seem to be nowadays. Some of the smaller campgrounds around us just can't accommodate the 34 ft trailer and our tow vehicle.

Looking at the 2015 Summerland 2400bh. Anyone have any experience with the Summerland (pros and cons)?

We have 2 small kids (8 and 4), mostly just do long weekends within a 4 hour drive from home.

We have a 2015 Springdale 240BH which is a similar layout/length to the one you are looking at. We have 3 kids (2,5,7), we love it has enough space and is easy to manuever around campgrounds and tight spots.

Beware, those kids grow. And as they grow the extra space will be appreciated. Being as you have it I would keep it until the kids are older. They money you will loss trading is a LOT and you may regret as the kids get older. Once they are 16 there interest in hanging out with the parents usually diminished and by that time you would be in a better position to down size and not lose as much money.

I have 4-boys 15, 13, 10 &10 (twins) and a 36' haven't found a campground yet that can't accommodate my RV.

I've got the Springdale 20BH as well, if I could do it again I would get something a few feet shorter, it's almost 28'. We only have a 2 year old.

We looked very seriously at trading down our 3220BH last spring, but would lose 50%. We're learning to live with it...

When we first started to tow I wanted no more than 30 feet but ended at 34 and after 2 years we went to 35 feet. Trading in after 2 years we did take a huge hit on price but we had issues with the first trailer. Like you most of are trips are 2 or 3 nights and most are within 2 hours. Lucky for us we have many campgrounds that fit the 35 feet plus it tows and backs up so easy. It is mostly the wife and I.

As for the Summerland, have looked and they seem nice, more hof the heavy type build rather than the ultra light. Good luck with it, hope it all works for you.
