I'm planning on punching a hole in the side wall of my trailer. The stove fan does not vent to the outside. So I purchased a vent to install.
What is the best way to determine if there is any aluminum framing in the wall where I want to make my hole?
My thought was to use a stud finder but not sure it will work on aluminum.

go outside on a cool morning the dew on the sides of the camper will show you where the studs are.

Cut the inside wall first and check for studs. If there is a stud in the way you can just cover the interior hole with no outside issues.

Some stud finders will locate metal studs. Check the packaging at Lowe's or Home Depot.

X2 Cool Mornings Dew or frost will show where all of the framing is before the sun comes up and warms it up.
