Stabilizer stuck in extended position

Yesterday I heard a noise coming from the TT. After investigating, I found the Lippert electric stabilizer button stuck in extended mode and the motor was grinding. I pushed the button to retract, nothing but grinding noise. What's my next step? I did some research, my cheapest option is to just replace the motor at a couple hundred bucks.
Any suggestions?:banghead:
