Had a great time this past weekend at Heber Springs campground. It is a COE park on Greer's Ferry Lake. We managed to get a lakeside spot, D22. All sites in D loop has electricity, and there is a central water spigot and a dump station.

Spent a lot of my youth on that lake. Were you at the dam site campground?

Good and easy trout fishing below the dam as well. I'm way overdue for a return visit.

I've not used my RV there but usually go there every year and stay in Fairfield Bay. Love the lake and haven't made it this year......now I'm sad....:(

I was just Googling "Heber Springs" and saw where Lindseys Resort went bankrupt and closed. It's been 30+ years since I've been there.
Let's see....thinking out loud trip planning....Broken Bow OK. for trout, Lake Ouachita for stripers, Heber Springs for trout. That could work...

There is a excellent guide on the lake for crappie. Even this time of year you catch some pulling crank baits. I used to go to Lindsey's always enjoyed ourselves. Wonder if there is another privately owned place on the Little Red that has full RV hookups.

I had a great guide for trout fishing the river. He was a retired biologist from the Memphis zoo.
I think we "camped" at Lindsey's in the cabover. Spring break 198?. Had to go buy a heater. First time I heard of WalMart. Couldn't believe we bought an electric heater for $5.
