Hey,
I am losing my mind. Last year I purchased a 2015 Keystone Alpine. We camped 2 months in it last year, and so far this year we are 2 months into a 3 month trip. This Alpine has a AC filter like none I have seen so far. This is a ducted system with 2 filters per AC. These are not foam filters and are not washable. I have been trying for the Last 2 months to find how I can order new filters to no avail. The dealership I bought it from never seen filters like this and they say that they are also trying to find how how to get replacement filters to no avail. Does Keystone not realize that if you cannot replace these filters the AC will lose efficientsy due to dirty coils. I have made over 6 calls to Keystone and the people I talk to give me a disposible filter 15"× 8". The problem is that I keep telling them is grill this filter attaches to is a smaller dimension than the filter! I have had it with these people! Does anyone out there know what disposable filter I need to get?
Please PM me with information.

I would check the filter for a name and number. If nothing on the filter then contact the AC manufacturer as Keystone buys the built and just installs them.

Different brands and models are used. If you can give us a make and model of the a/c unit perhaps someone with that unit can help you. In the package of paperwork that came with your trailer there should be the manual for your model a/c with a parts list. With the part number you should be able find the filter online and eliminate the dealer. JM2¢, Hank

I will save you the time looking thru the manual as its not there. I contacted Dometic to get the manuals for both my heat pump and 2nd ac and register my products. They sent me the electronic copy of the manuals. Typing the word filter in any search produces nothing. Reading the manual just gives the ducting requirements and location for proper operation. There is absolutely no part number or any number whatsoever on this filter as I have had them all out so I could inspect and re-tape some ducting areas which were badly done. It almost appears if you went to the store and bought some cheap household filter and cut off all the cardboard and then cut a chunk of the filter out the same size, what it looks like. I don't believe filtration is relative to the unit itself as you can probably use anything....and I also have an Alpine!!!

Since I just got the manuals sent to me, I will reply back and ask about the filters and post on here!!!

Guessing this is what you are looking for as you said there are two filters per airbox. These are for a Dometic unit.

Can you get the foam filter and cut it to the dimension you need?

Got to really appreciate the help and knowledge we get from the members of this site. Not many people or forums would be so helpful. [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

I emailed Dometic and got this response and googled Dometic and p/n and got hits.

Is your unit ducted?
If the unit is ducted the return air grill filter is part number 3313107.103

In searching, I get a black filter that is not totally rectangular as it has two cutouts. Mine is straight white and rectangular but who knows, the dealer could have placed something else in the damn thing. To me a black filter in a ducted vent looks weird. Hopefully, Dometic gave me the correct info

That one is for this airbox that has just one filter and is washable. It is around 8x14".

Just my 2cents...

While you're waiting, try to determine air direction thru the material. Then vacuum from the other side to extend your filter life.

This is SOP at most phone companies who use "TONS" of filters in their equipment.

Update...Dometic insisted the p/n they provided was correct even after I explained to them that it was for a non-ducted unit. They then told me it was a Keystone problem as the ducted system has no specific filter. Keystone could not figure out the part # either and made me send pics. Then I got no response since the plant was shut down for two weeks. Today, they emailed me and said they provide whatever Dometic sends with the unit to contact Dometic. This is code for I will make my own filter and install. It is not rocket science!!!!
