Greetings. Wife and I have given up the boating lifestyle and have decided to try RVing.
We bought a used 2010 Springdale 25' RKS and are towing with a 2010 Chevy Silverado extended cab with the 5.3 and six speed auto. The truck has the trailer towing package.
We are looking forward to lots of fun times.

:wlcm: A RV is nothing more than a Boat on wheels. The DW and I were boaters for a long time 30-40 years and we refer to our 5er as the boat all the time. Like boating you keep getting bigger and better one's. Have fun with it.:)

Deltadude, what you really did was buy this rig as a stepping stone to probably a Montana and a late model F350....enjoy the hunt!

Thanks for the greetings. I'm already thinking my truck is at the max end of it's capacity for towing this trailer. It's just the two of us. We took our maiden voyage last weekend and did a two night stay at a nice rv park about 50 miles away as a shakedown cruise.
I retired in 2009 and for a couple years worked part time at a big RV dealership helping move their inventory back and forth to shows and other dealerships. That gave me the opportunity to drive and see a lot of different types of RV's.
At some point I know I will want to upsize but we are happy with what we have for now.

Enjoy your new rig. There are times when I wish we still had our 30'er for ease of getting around, but once the kids are and the DW and I start spending more and more time in it I know I will be glad we have our Alpine. Not necessarily for the overall size, but for the comforts. If you don't ever feel that itch, I will be envious of you, It's soooo much cheaper :)

That's what we found while boating. It seemed the bigger the boat we got, the less we took it out of the slip.
