I'm claiming a win here for my husband, who I now call Captain Awesome. We have a two burner Camp Chef Explorer stove and do most of our cooking outside. Dragging it out of the storage unit, pulling it out of its storage bag, assembling the legs, screwing on the propane hose and then reversing all that at the end of the trip was a pain. I thought it would be great if it could just slide out of the storage unit. However, drawer slides in the length we would need and able to support the weight would be $300-500. I searched the internet and found this video of a sliding storage drawer for a truck: https://youtu.be/jd1Sx_tldHs
Yep! That's what I want. I sent the video to Captain Awesome and he made it for me just in time for our Mother's Day campout (and he did all the cooking). Our TT is very high off the ground so it was unexpectedly high but luckily neither of us are short so I'm extremely happy with it. We ran a propane line from the low pressure side of the propane tank valve and put a quick connect below the storage unit. We just slide the stove out and connect the hose.
