Would like to hear from anyone using a Girard tankless hot water heater. Good bad or whatever.I'm think of changing over to one.

I installed one 10 months ago. Easy install and love having endless hot water. A little learning curve with adjusting water temp. Temp control for the flame (BTU's) is different (more expensive units set a temp and forget). Girrard water heaters are dependent on water pressure and flow, the control has to be adjusted. We are full timers sometimes we have high pressure and set to max BTU's and control temp by water flow. Turn shower hot water about 1/4 turn and no cold is perfect. Higher the flow the lower the temp, closing down on the hot water valve makes the water hotter. In low pressure situations we turn down the BTU setting and add cold water to increase the flow at the shower head. Biggest complaint is the hot and cold cycling, just turn the BTU's down so the heater doesn't go to high limit and shuts the flame off for a few seconds.

I do like the convenience of the on demand water heater.

Thanks for the input. I had been reading about the temp vs flow. I see the new Saburban unit is 60000btus but the price is more than twice the price of the Girard at 36000btus.

You won’t find either a wiring diagram or a plumbing schematic. What are you trying to figure out?

Hi Jack,

Your 2015 should have direct ignition, so you already have 12v.

The following video should give you all you need to know, start to finish. Hope it helps:
