Seems simple physics would indicate that loading the garage with my buggies (rzr and atv) would be a bad idea if I'm not hooked up to my tow vehicle. True or false?

According to the book, true. In reality, false.

WHY risk it....at least drop the rear stabilizer jacks. Also consider the movement of your front jack(s). Just seems it would be unnecessary wear and tear not to have some type of support.

I agree with both Desert and Big Boy. Simply drop the rear stabilizers and rock on.

I do it all the time. Are you afraid of your razr lifting the front of the trailer off the ground? Not going to happen

I load / unload all the time unhooked, never had any issue. Just a bit of humor.... However no, never had an issue.

Had the same thought however, I now load and unload the 5er un hooked all the time with no issues. I do make sure its properly chalked though...

I was wondering the same thing being new toy hauler owner. Sounds like chalking it and maybe putting landing pads down would be good

With the wheels properly chocked and the stabilizers down there is very little chance of danger. Unless running through the garage wall into your living quarters is something you are considering.

I could maybe see a problem if you are dealing with a smaller bumper tow toy hauler, however these larger 5ers have a pin weight of 3K plus. I don't know to many SXSs that are gonna cause a problem. As far as the rear landing, I leave mine up when loading and un loading. The ride height does change between loaded and unloaded and I have seen the rear landing become jammed during loading. Could have been a fluke but with mine down there have been no issues at all. Those rear "stabilizers" are just that, stabilizers, not sure they are meant to support the weight of the 5er and or the extra weight of a SXS and dirt bikes. Now if you have the 6 point auto leveling system, you are probably good to go, something to check on there. I am extra carful when loading when unhooked as far as being smooth with the RZR XP4 loading. No crazy high speed loading so not to jerk forward and backwards and move the front landing around. As long as you are properly chalked there should be no problems.....
