Mostly in jest....500+ sites in this one of several campgrounds. Gravel streets, grass sites. Some level, some with RV wheels off the ground. No hook ups available (speaking only of utilities) Porta cans are available. Questionable neighbors, many seem over served. Plenty of security. Noisy-everyone running generators. Train runs nearby but seems to bother no one. Raining all day. Will report on drainage if warranted.
Race delayed.

After 14 years of Talladega we finally gave it up. Too many rule changes and too many "cautions" for no reason. I expect there were as many "hook-ups" as one could imagine. :D Good one, by the way. Is your RV performing well....no leaks, etc?

First NA$CAR race?

Been there done that. Rockingham was the greatest for all night partying..
Charlotte not to far behind but we stayed the last few year on Racetrack property a little better, Just a little. Have your family with you its an eye opening experience for all.
darlington about the same. Martinsville you are camped on a hillside, if it rained too bad.
If this is your first race enjoy ot today. and its like that at just about every track unless you camp infield. I have never but I would guess its a little better.

Yup sounds like a typical NASCAR camping experience! The loud generators are the worst part but part of it.

This is our third Richmond. Done Martinsville, Bristol, and of course Texas. Been constant rain for 24 hours. Just me and the DW. Staying inside and dry.
Trailer is good, no runs, no drips. But being cooped up sure gives the opportunity to see the errors.
This will be an expensive trip. Neighbors Honda eu2000i is too quiet. I think it is almost perfect for running the electric fireplace and keeping the batteries hot. Add the extended run gas tank.
Back home, then Indy 500.

Went to the NHRA drags in Sonoma last year. Have been going to NASCR races for years, but its getting old and boring. I can't even watch it on TV anymore.

Let me tell you, the people, especially the women are a completely different breed at the drag races vs NASCAR. NASCAR around here seems to bring out the bottom of the barrel type of people and its always good for a laugh.

Will definitely be going back to NHRA this year for the sound and the scenery.

SW342, we couldn't agree more. Most of the nationals we attend the women are mostly bank employees and third grade teachers, about the same at Indy. Real stand-up women, mostly dressed to the nines. :D
