Which is considered the higher level of the two? From the weights, I would guess the Montana.

both are considered luxury....to me it would be what ever fits your needs.

I'd also look at the big sky if you are considering an alpine.

As mentioned, both fall under the luxury tag. We looked at both when we bought our Alpine. There are small differences and we found things we liked about both. For us the Alpine had the little things that were important to us over the Montana, for you it may be just the opposite. Dealer can also be a deciding factor, I think the Alpine may have seemed nicer because the dealer was so much easier to work with. Realistically, they are probably 6 of one half a dozen of the other.

We have had both. I'd give the edge to the Alpine. We have not had pealing decals on the Alpine although I assume Keystone has fixed that. The Alpine has a heat pump in addition to the gas furnace. It works exceptionally well. I would definately want the same HVAC system on my next RV. I was looking at the 2015 Montana and did not see a heat pump offered. The dual zone thermostat in the "auto" mode automatically not only controls the rear A/C unit (2015 units appear to have 2 heat pumps) but will automatically switch from A/C to the heat pump and then to the gas furnace if it really gets cold. It has really cut back on LP gas usage. Unfortunately both the Montana and Alpine came with Towmax tires.

We went with Alpine. Liked both Montana and Alpine. RV dealer that had Alpine I had bought 3 other trailers from. Going to fifth wheel was big step. Felt more comfortable with my known dealer versus camping world that had Montana. Not bashing CW. Just went with gut hunch. Bought 2014 Alpine 3010RE. No regrets. Heat pump kicks. Fire place rocks. Only ran has furnace a few times to verify it worked.
No major issues first year.
