Brake backer plate

Bought a new Montana fifth wheel with Dexter axles. In looking under it I found the there aren't any rubber plugs in the adjuster slots. Called Dexter and was told the engineers had determined they were no longer needed. Maybe I'm a little overboard but I went and got some and put them in. Don't feel that pulling thru a pouring rain would be good. Are y'all missing them on your axle?

Don't you suppose the engineers at Dexter are at least as smart as the engineers at Ford, GM, Chrysler.........:rolleyes:

My son is an engineer. He will quickly tell you sometimes if its marginal it about part count and cost. Look at GM and the ignition issues on the cars.
