View Full Version : Festus2 looking for name change

Festus2

From time-to-time, members - and even forum administrators - refer to me as "Fetus" or "Fetus2". I know how easy it is to get Festus and Fetus mixed up so I am looking for suggestions for a new name. It's not that I mind being called "fetus" as I have been called names that are far worse than that over the years.

It's just that "fetus" sounds too "medical" and unbecoming of my age and stature.

So, let's hear it from the members. If you have a suggestion for a user name for me, post it here. Remember, be kind and gentle. My psyche has been damaged enough by being called "fetus".

If you can't be Festus, how about Chester?

Then how about Canadian Mist? I figure your mellow, aged and can speak soft like a mist.

If his wrath descends upon you, you might want to call him "Canadian Club".

What makes you think that his name is not Festus????

Because if he went through school with that name he would have been beaten up and never would have been a mod here:p

...and I was just getting used to the F-word.

Being a Gunsmoke fan, perhaps Dillon? Paladin was another good one back in the day. Yeah, Paladin2. "Have RV, will travel."

Eh?

How about Mr Top 5 since he originated that wonderful set of threads (which BTW, I would love to see come back). But there I go thinking again. :D

Festus, whatever you come up with, someone will at some point mess it up. I for one am glad you are around at all to help all of us.

I kind of like the suggestion "Chester".

It's a positive sounding name and somehow depicts knowledge and respect. I don't know how it does, it just does. Since you carry both those traits I think it would work well. Plus, it's a great name to remember ..... Chester flows well.

Just ask Chester ...... Chester knows all .... Do it right, ask Chester ....

See flows nicely :)

Well??? Festus2, was there a new name in your stocking this morning. Staying with the tv theme you could always go with Friday .. after Badge #714 .. "Names have been changed to protect the innocent." They can't mess that name up. Regardless of what you are calling yourself today .. Have a Merry Christmas my friend, Hank http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/picture.php?albumid=299&pictureid=1402

Steve and others -
I did devote considerable thought to the name-change suggestions that members submitted and appreciated their input. However, I've decided to keep "Festus2" knowing that I will be at risk for being called "Fetus" or "Fetus2".

There are far worse names that I could be called so the odd "fetus" here or there really isn't worth changing my name. I guess the forum is something like "Cheers" where "everybody knows your name".

So I'm sticking with "Festus2".

Sounds like a great plan:) When I see you post it reminds me that you live just down the road from me and if you had a different name it would seem a bit strange:)
Keep up the great work here:)

Sometimes, the "legends" must remain the same. Somehow, Coca Cola wouldn't taste as good if it were called something else.

Festus2 has become a "trademark" for Keystone RV'ers who are "in the know". A change would "rewrite history"

Oh good!!! There are some days I can't remember my own name ... I sure didn't want to try to remember another new one. As one of my New Years resolutions, I will try my best to avoid typos when it comes to your name. :D
I still think you were being a big BABY about the accidental, occasional FETUS reference. (I had to get one more shot in) Happy New Year y'all, Hank
