We are the proud owners of a Keystone Alpine and have never had a fifth wheel (pulled a towable). We're from the Jacksonville, FL area and are looking for an RV club or others to travel with on occasion. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks! Bonkers

Hi Bonkers. First off, welcome to the forum. We live in St. Augustine so we are just south of you! As for a camping club Goodsam has several chapters that you can join. Jacksonville has the Jax Rambling Sams and Orange Park has the Sunset Ramblers. We tried the Sunset Ramblers but the gatherings were a little slower paced for me. My wife and I are still mid 40's early 50's and need more activities than what was offered at the time. We try to get out at least once a month to the surrounding area. Salt Springs is nice along with Silver Springs. Maybe we can start our own RV Camping Club??

I belong to the Getaway Sams in Jacksonville, and can tell you that we are very different in nature than the other chapter mentioned. The state Good Sam website lists all the chapters, their contact info, and also has a section where you can read newsletters.

Our chapter has members in St. Augustine, Jax, Orange Park, Green Cove, Ocala, and even Largo...so remember when looking for a group that the contact info is often only for one person, and members me actually be spread out over a larger area. And they often camp in a larger area.

I'll send you some more detailed info. I posted earlier but either I had internet issues or maybe someone thought it was advertising. I didn't mean to offend anyone's sensibilities; but since names of groups had already been mentioned, thought it would be ok.
