We bought a new 310 Raptor so we could haul our Roadking and sidecar. We have had other trailers in the past, but no 5th wheelers. Both just retired and will be headed to Florida on the 27th of December for four months.

Welcome to the forum. I see you have a 2014 F350. How do you like it and did you get the ford 5th wheel prep package and hitch?

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy that new Raptor and most of all, enjoy your retirement, although it doesn't sound like you don't need anyone to tell you that! :D

Many thanks to all for the "Welcomes." Jay, we just bought the truck in September and have 9K on it right now, most of it pulling our old RV or our new RV. Mileage is fair, but the power is great. No, we didn't get the 5th wheel set-up. We bought it at a county fair in Lancaster, NH from the owner of North Country Ford. If anyone knows Michael give a shout out to him. The Excursion had 300K on the V-10 and Mama thought this would be a nice change. Two weeks later we were "just looking around" in Ocala, Florida and Mama thought the 310 "would be a nice change." In reality I probably had just as much to do with this as did she. Back to the 5th wheel set up: I thought Ford's hitch was a little pricey. The F350 is already loaded with every gadget and electronic thing that is imaginable so we thought maybe we'd better just go with the 20K Reese.
