Recently noticed we have a shower leak. We first saw a small amount of water on the floor toward the back wall of the shower. Thought I just needed to caulk between the track and shower tub. That didn't work. Caulked more inside the track but at the very end. Nope. Last night, caulked between the shower wall and the tub, primarily near the back where the water is. Seems to leak even more now. Since we live in the travel trailer and don't have a tow vehicle yet, it would be difficult to take it back to the dealer. Any other ideas on how to fix this or locate where the actual leak is?

Is there an access panel on the front of the shower pan? If so take it off and inspect the drain and "P" trap. You may have to access the drain by removing a panel in the "basement", but if it only leaks during your shower, I would suspect the drain plumbing.

Haven't really considered the drain. I will see if I can locate an access panel. Thanks.

Ours leaked when we first got it. I got clear silicone caulk and caulked along the bottom and up the walls on both sides, inside and outside of the track. That solved our problem. If you did all of the frame it is most likely the drain pipe as chuckster57 said.

Climbed in the storage locker and located the drain. No sign of a leak from what I could see (stains, etc). I will look closer when I have some daylight to work with this weekend. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Our shower leaked on the floor and it drove me nuts finding the problem.
It turned out to be where the shower hose came out of the wall panel.
That panel had a rubber washer between the hose and the panel. The rubber had cracked and the water was able to get behind the panel and run on the floor. Used silicon to seal it up and was good after that.
Hope you find it, good luck.
Ron

Thanks. Another place I haven't thought of that could leak.

Best to have the shower running while your looking. I've seen cracked drain pipes with no staining before.

Run the shower while your looking.

We had the same issue. Look at the glass panels and see where the seem is on the rubber gasket that holds the glass in place. Ours was at the bottom and it allowed water into the track, being I sealed both side on the bottom track it ran out the outside of the glass panel. I then used clear caulk on the inside around the glass panel. I removed the caulk from the bottom of the alum trim ( only on the inside of the shower ) this way any water that got behind the trim would run to the inside. Water leak on outside of shower stall was fixed. I believe the main issue was around the actual glass panel.

I think I finally got the leak fixed. Not 100% sure, still need to climb in the basement and look for leaks while someone is in the shower. No more water running onto the floor. I think caulking around the drain fixture on the floor of the shower is what stopped the leak. Is it possible a seal was left out or not properly installed?

There can be a rubber disc gasket, or sometimes just plumbers putty. If that is where the leak is/was, I would disconnect the drain. Then take that fitting apart and re-install with a good bead of plumbers putty. Tighten the nut tight enough to force putty out and then trim it off.
