2013 Cougar X lite 5th 29 RET we are having problems with the fabric fraying on our swivel recliners & on two of the kitchen chair seats. We contacted Keystone and they said the trailer is out of warranty however send us photos which we have. We didn't hear back for a while so we contacted the department they then asked for the photos. We sent them the rep said the fabric looks like a cat did the damage, we don't own a cat. so we were told to take the RV to the nearest Keystone dealer near us, and have the service rep send pictures plus give an explanation to the Keystone rep.
We haven't heard anything back from keystone yet.
We are also wondering if anyone else has had the same issue. The fabric on these swivel chairs should not have been used for an RV !:(

Karen & Larry -
I am a bit surprised that Keystone would give consideration to looking into your claim about the fraying fabric on your recliners. I say this because in my Owner's Manual in the Warranty section, it states that the warranty shall not apply to "any upholstery damage including, but not limited to tears, punctures, or misuse". Perhaps there have been other similar problems with recliners of the same fabric with other owners and that is why they seem willing to give your claim a "second look".

It is not uncommon for any manufacturer to reject out-of-hand any claim outside of the warranty period so you may be one of the lucky ones.

Good luck with getting a satisfactory resolution to this issue. Let us know how it all turns out.

Had to have a seat cushion cover replaced on one of the air mattress sofa cushions. The fabric came apart at the cording where the two cushions come together. Also had to have the air mattress replaced due to internal failure. If the warranty doesn't work, you might be able to get replacements from Flair.
