Quick Reply

I don't understand the "quick reply". I've tried to respond to a post using it and when I click inside the area to write in it says to pick one of the icons but I can't seem to get it to work and I end up going back to the "post reply" which is directly under the last post. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong.

You almost need to "activate" the quick reply box, by clicking the icon in the bottom right corner of the last post. Looks like a piece of paper with a pencil.
