Hi guys, Haven't seen this topic covered in here so I thought I'd share.
Found a great video a couple weeks ago on how to lower the roof in order to fit the cart in an enclosed trailer/toyhauler, etc.
Finished it up about a week ago and our maiden voyage was last weekend:

Forgot to mention that...
I'm 6' and have to slouch waaay over to get in there but ultimately it works so I'm happy. :D

I assume the golf cart is for trans in the pits during a WERA event, but what else do you use the golf cart for...besides maybe for golf? I see some folks hauling golf carts and always wondered why.

So does the "hinge" just lock in place once you pull out? Be care not to forget to lower it...

Most people you see travelling with golf carts is for transportation within the campground. Not all allow them but it seems more and more are.

Saw 2 Class A's towing pick up trucks with golf carts in the back or the trucks Sat night, my guess were a couple of racecar drivers leaving NH after Saturdays race. Also saw the Toyota semi and the #8 Nationwide truck.

Yes, it is primarily for use in the pits but we took it to the campground at the beach last weekend and used it more than we thought we would.

After it's out of the trailer it just takes 2 bolts with wingnuts on each support and you're ready to go.

did something along same idea, but roof rattled and it really bugged me, so then I flopped my rear bed brackets upside down, and used top holes . Yamaha drive with 6in. lift fits without doing anything with both beds still in, and got rid of that terrible rattling!

My son raced AMA and AFM in the past and we just walked. A golf cart would have been welcome, but then so would have a toyhauler. :) I'd be a better race dad these days.

Cool! I raced for 2 yrs. out of a 7x16 with no AC, never again. The past 5 yrs. in a toyhauler have been sooo much easier for me and especially the fam.

AMA!
What is your son's name?

Wondered about that as well but the wingnuts seem to be the key. Roof is solid when they're tightened down.

Jacen, pronounced like Jason. Its been awhile. Now he just does track days and rides a little local motocross. I still have his 7x16 race trailer.

I'm about there myself. Have a 9 y.o. who plays baseball most weekends now so racing has taken a back seat this year.

Yep, pretty easy overall.
The only thing change I made was to use 2 locking bolts on the front supports as well. I did it like he said initially (only 1 on the front support and 2 on the rear) but there was still too much flex on the fronts for my liking.

I'll probably do the same since that's where my stereo is mounted.

Lucky we ... Just fit... Anything higher and would have to do your mod! We have like 1-2" clearance!

I watched video, and I'm going to say I'm impressed. I might actually try this on one, but it looks strong. Only thing , you loose your gutters on a drive, probably sacrifice that once.

Yep, gutters are on the shelf in the garage. :(
I'm now in search of some sort of rubber cap for the openings in the roof.

Some of the parks I've stayed at were huge and if I were to long term there I would want something other than the car for easy mobility. The park I am at now has all of the facilities at one end and guess where I am, nowhere near.

Ahhh...the quiet end of the park. My first choice. A friend who is an air race tech inspector found a used Hoveround on Ebay. Since its considered handicap transportation, he has all access without a vehicle sticker. Might be something to consider when I can no longer ride my "pit bike".
