We have a cougar xlite 26 SAB Does any one know the meaning of the letters(SAB) or is there no meaning just a model no?

IIRC the letters refer to features, like slides, kitchen placement, bunks etc...

My old Jayco was RKS- rear kitchen and slides. My 2012 Copper Canyon is FWRET- fifth wheel, rear entertainment.

Thinking back, I think I was told once that it means Side Aisle Bathroom. Early in the evolution of 5ers, most had the aisle down the center, splitting the bathroom in two. Sink on one side, shower and toilet on the other. Having the bathroom on one side, with the aisle down the other side, was once a feature.

Here's a few:

SAB: Side Aisle Bath
RKS: Rear Kitchen/Slide
BHS: BunkHouse/Slide
BHSWE: BunkHouse/Slide Western Edition (built in Oregon)
FWS: Fifth Wheel/Slide
CBFK: Center Bath/Front Kitchen
FWRLS: Fifth Wheel/Rear Living/Slide
RBS: Rear Bath/Slide
QBS: Queen Bed/Slide
BQ: Bunk/Queen
RE: Rear Entertainment Center (or Rear Entry) Look at the floorplan)
FRL: Front Living Room

This is certainly not a complete list, but should give some insight into what the designations attempt to describe.

Now, if someone could just figure out the "numbers part" of the model designation.....

isn't that a snowmobile? Yep I specifically remember Yamaha has an SRX snowmobile, think they had a motorcycle with that too. Does your RV resemble a snowmobile in any way:p

I think it was supposed to come with one, I'd contact the dealer and ask where your snowmobile is.

I've always known the numbers to mean the rough box size.

My 245RL (rear living room) is 26'11" long, according to the sales literature. Doesn't make sense to me.

Mountaineer 356 TBF, B=Bunkhouse, The T or F, I don't have a clue, the 356, don't know, it is a fifth wheel, 40' long, with 5 slides, 2 Bathrooms. Figure this one out :)

As a rule the numbers are the length of the living space (or box as mentioned) and does not include TT tongue, 5er pin box or rear bumpers. ... Thus my 290RKS is 31'+ and is a Rear Kitchen + Slide. So if you add pin bx length and bumper over-hang (many now come with extended pinbox for shortbed towing) to your 35'6" (356) you will be very close to 40'. The aerodynamic front ends have also added to the length but not the living space. JM2¢, Hank

Nope, we just went out and measured it, actual length rear to front of cap, 41 feet, ladder, 41'10", the forward end of the pin box is actually a foot behind the front of cap. I am wondering if back wall to front closet doors would be about 35'6". Figure 41-a 4'deep closet-wall thickness, should be leave about 36 feet. Have to check that.

I read somewhere the numbers meant the square foot of space?
