Added a splitter to share the antenna between the TV and radio. I don't understand the science behind it, but it improved radio reception without any TV quality issues. The OEM coaxial radio antenna cable is just wound up and stuffed behind the head unit. I located the splitter behind stereo/dvd player, ran cables to it, then from there one to the antenna plug/booster. Super easy.

The FM radio band is right between TV vhf1 and TV vhf2 bands so the antenna should be working quite well with the FM frequencies. Just curious if it gave your AM Channels a boost since that antenna system is not tuned for the AM band?

I've done this to my house stereo as well as both of my travel trailers I've owned. Easiest mod to improve radio reception. I just kind of chuckle when people buy antennas to improve their radio reception when all they have to do is split the TV antenna.

I'll find out if AM reception improves next time we're in the high sierra's, AM is usually all we can pull in up there.
