A dealer near me just got a new condition never used 2013 Bullet 246RBS. I had some questions for any owners of this model.

Does the stove hood vent to the outside?

Can you use the bathroom with the slide in?

Does it have a black tank flush? If not is there still the troublesome plastic "check valve" that I have read about that needs to be replaced?

Besides over the shower is there another place in the trailer to install a Fantastic Vent?"

Is the couch an air mattress bed and when folded out can you get by it to get to the kitchen and bathroom?

I'm not able to talk to the dealer and get answers before I head his way is why I'm asking.

Thanks and great forum. I hope to be an owner soon if this works out.

don't have this model, but based on experience and looking at the floor plan
I would guess that you wont be able to get to the bathroom without using the outside door when the slides are in. also with only the living room slide, I doubt you will have much access to the back with the sofa bed out, unless it is a scissor bed.

I unexpectedly got to see the trailer today so I was able to answer most of my questions.

The stove hood does not vent to the outside so it can be removed which will add more room to the cooking area.

The bathroom can always be used in any situation because it has it's own outside door so I guess that was a dumb question.

It does not have a black tank flush. Do I still have the problematic check valve to worry about?

There are two places to install a Fantastic Vent, over the shower and not to far from the stove area.

The couch is not an air mattress bed but still very comfortable when folded out. You cannot walk by it to get to the rest of the trailer when folded out though. Not really a biggie for us.

I hope the deal works out. We won't know anything until Tuesday. I love the camper, great floor plan, weight is perfect for the Ram 1500 HEMI, love the room in the bathroom area to get dressed, plenty of storage. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Welcome to the forums!!

No black tank rinser-no check valve to worry about. There are aftermarket kits available if you want to add one. My last trailer didn't, present one does and I prefer the rinser.

Fantastic fans normally replace a regular hand crank vent and fit in the same hole. Depending on your preference you can get remote operated, bi directional fan, rain sensor..so explore your options/needs before you settle on one.

If you do get it, post some pics and ENJOY!!

Looks like we got it! Looking forward to being a member of this forum.

Another quick question....which model Equalizer hitch should I get with this particular TT based on the specs?

Shipping Weight - 4828
Carrying Capacity - 1717
Hitch - 545
Length - 28'.3
Height - 10'7

Wouldn't the 1K/10K be plenty or do you need headroom in this area?

Found an easy "which model is right for me" calculator on the Equalizer site. Looks like the 12k for me.

With a GVWR of @6500lbs. The 1K/10K is plenty.

Edit: I went to the website and saw the calculator, I used 6500 GVWR, 650 tongue and 200 lbs of cargo in TV for my calculations.

The reason I was considering the 12k was because of tongue weight. Dry hitch weight is 545. I will be adding two full size 20 propane tanks and two Trojan golf cart batteries.

Would there be any negatives to getting the 12/12k model?

No. In the case of hitches, more is better.

Possible harsher ride.
