New 3180 RE with new jacks

Just put on new scissor jacks... I know its new but the 2500 lb jacks are way to low of poundage. I installed 7500 lb jacks on all 4 corners. The 2500 lb jacks had alot of movement and i was always having to add 1/2 turn or so after a night in the tt. I hope this fixes the problem. Time will tell...

New jacks work great!!!!!! :) Took alot of what i call shake out of tt. Well worth the 100 bucks for new jacks. "bouncey:

Hmmm, maybe I'll upgrade ours next year. We get a lot of wobble. I know some use the x-chocks, but new jacks may be good, too.

I bought my rig last year and I already changed out my scissor jacks. I put 5000 pd jacks on mine and yes, it is a big difference. The cheapo`s that the manufacturer put on are just that -- cheap. I think someone stated a while back that the manufacturer puts on the required equipment, nothing more.

HI Triplespool--Can you tell me what brand you purchased. I found a pair of Husky 6500 lb. jacks on Amazon for $75. They look like they are pretty sturdy and made in the USA. Has anyone used them? I like the idea of heaver stabilizers. Thanks for your info.

That's the brand I put on mine. Very good quality and solid jack. I miss quoted in my earlier post, said they were 5000 pd jacks, that's what I put on my old rig. My Passport, I changed out to 6500 pd jacks.

This seamed like a good place to ask this question. We are just 4 trips into our new Bullet 217 RBS. It has been great. We went from KY to the Black Hills and then to Michigan and Gettysburg. The "Cottage" Performed flawlessly. What I would like to know is if you are putting heavier jacks to replace the "cheapos" are you now able to put the full weight of the trailer on the 4 corner jacks? Or should you add 2 more at the center? I have 1 set of x-chocks but the trailer still rock and rolls a bit. It looks like I have a winter project coming on!

I'm really interested in knowing if beefier jacks really make a difference. How well do they work if you don't have the X chock?

Hi Guys---Are you finding that the 24" reach is enough or would the 28" jacks be better? I have 3 steps getting into the trailer--sits pretty high. Thanks--

The 24in works for me. Thats what came on my rig so I replaced them with the same size. After I block under the jacks I don`t have to fully extend them. I have three steps as well.
