This clear plastic item pictured is mounted up under the cabinets, just inside the front entry door in my Bullet. I have looked at it many times, and I admit I have no idea what it is or what it is used for. Probably something obvious, but it just isn't coming to me....?

This is great! I keep checking back to see what this thing actually is and nobody knows. I'm beginning to think it's a cruel joke that somebody installed just to get a bunch of people trying to figure it out.

I have tried to imagine, what if this thing was unscrewed and put in any possible position, what could it be used for? I haven't come up with anything.

I have some RV experience, but not as much as most of you I'm sure. So, I figured surely someone on the board would be able to tell me "Duh, this is what it is...." The fact that no one knows so far definitely has heightened my curiosity. It has to be something that was used in conjunction with another part.

Did you buy the RV used or is this something that came in a new unit?

Square tissue box holder. You're welcome.

Bought it used. I did notice this right away when I walked in the door, but the guy doing the walkthrough was already talking about something else, and I never did think to go back and ask him if he knew.

Hmmm, the size/shape certainly seems right. Not sure how the box would stay in place though. I mean, it seems like an odd mounting position, I guess. Thank you though.

Good call CUFFS054, and thank you! As pictured, the box fits snuggly in there, it would take a pretty hard jostle for it to come out. This is great too, as my girlfriend had the Kleenex box in one of the cubby holes in the entertainment center, and I never did think that that was a great spot for it.

Thanks to everyone for taking a look at it and trying to figure out what it could be.

I think if you take it down, turn it around, put the tissue box back in so the tissue is coming out the hole and re-mount it it will work better.

Yep, that makes more sense.

I will definitely take it down and re-locate to the bathroom. Directly inside the front door certainly isn't where I would normally place a Kleenex supply. And yes I see what you are saying about how it was "intended" to be used.

Wonder how long I would have sat and looked at that thing before it would have occurred to me?

It should be mounted on the wall with the circular opening pointing down. Then the box stays in place and the tissues come out the bottom.

It's hard to see the real size of it, but I really have no idea. That's it mount it on the wall with the box pointed down :)

You know, I think we finally got to the bottom of this mystery! Mounted with the hole facing down absolutely is correct! As I figured earlier today, "This is going to seem like something SOOO obvious once it is finally figured out." Sure enough, yep, seems pretty obvious! :)

Thank you everyone for your help. I'm not too proud to ask a stupid question. I'd rather know the answer than to sit there and pretend like "it doesn't really matter anyway...."

I appreciate the help from fellow RVers on this board. I still have some things to figure out for sure. I am glad to have a place to ask for some help. Have a good weekend everybody!

Probably would have gotten a quicker answer for this one on a forum for bed, bath, and beyond:) Once it was pointed out what it was, I think a lot of us had a DUH, moment. But to our defense, who is thinking about a Kleenex box when looking at a strange bracket in an RV? I guess CUFFS054 is.

Maybe the previous owners mounted it by the entry door because they used it to hold a box of dog poo bags??:)

Well, that is odd. At first I was thinking it could be part of a paper towel holder...I like the tissue box holder :)

It is a Kleenex tissue box holder.
