Has anyone drilled a Corian Counter? I want to put in a soap dispenser next to the kitchen sink and would like to cut out a part of the counter to install a sunken induction stove top. Unfortunately I have no experience with Corian. Who has the experience?

Corian is easily drilled or cut with regular woodworking tools. It's easily scratched so I would recommend using masking tape to protect the surface during the cutting operation. It's also a good idea to wear a dust mask.

You may find that your counter top is Hi-Mac, still a good top, not Corian, Corian will have the medal mark on the surface some place
