Hello All!
New to the group and wanted to introduce. We're from far NW Indiana, family for three. We're sell our Palomino pop-up and looking at a 2014 Passport 238ML. Very excited about this unit but I have concerns about towing. We have a Buick Enclave with the tow package (4750 lbs.) Will I have trouble pulling 3700 lbs. Is anyone out there pulling with an Enclave?

A quick forum search shows you're the only one that's posted about towing with an Enclave, but we do have other members with the same trailer, so hopefully they'll chime-in soon. ;)

In the meantime, I'll offer some input ~~

The weight you're quoting for the 238ML is the "dry/empty" weight, as shipped from the factory. That # doesn't include the weight of factory options (if any), the RV battery,
LP (40 lbs), fresh water (8.3 lbs/gal), nor any of your camping supplies/clothes/food/toys, etc. Even with only 'the bare-minimum' supplies/gear, the trailer will likely weigh
about 4200 lbs once loaded... and that's a very conservative guess.

Shipping Weight 3711 lbs (dry/empty)
Carrying Capacity 1689 lbs
Hitch 495 lbs (dry/empty)
Length 24' 11"

In addition to your towing capacity, confirm the Enclave's GCVWR, and check the actual curb weight & payload/load capacity of "your" specific vehicle as listed on the stickers (driver's
door area). Also keep in mind that Passenger Tires may affect handling when towing a heavier/longer trailer than your pop-up.

of other optional equipment, passengers and cargo will reduce the maximum trailer weight your vehicle can tow."

Your concerns are valid -- and, once you do the math, chances are you'll probably need to choose a lighter trailer.
