Added a front flagpole mount and some secure storage for the weight distribution bars from some stuff I found while cleaning out the garage.

I like that. I've been wanting to add a provision to install a flag somehow to the front of our camper. What kind of pole do you have for it?

I built my own from aluminum tubing. I used three 10' sections. Bought the tubing at a metal supply shop. It has a much thicker wall than the box stores carry. Here is a link to my rear mount project. It also has a picture of the pole. http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=17313

Ok, now I remember seeing that post from a little while ago. Nice job. When I get the time, I will have to pay a visit to my local metal supply shop. Really like seeing the flag flying.

I am absolutely amazed of the "Good Ole AMERCIAN Ingenuity" I see and read about on this blog. There so many interesting fixes, modifications, etc. that we all come up with. Good Job....

Nicely done. We go to NASCAR and I would love a better way to attach or secure our flag poles. We have a 5er toy hauler so I can't use your idea here but great idea for folks with TT. Nicely done.

A friend of mine has a fifth wheel TH and he mounted essentially what is a 2" receiver (2" ID square tubing) to the frame of his trailer so that it sticks out just short of flush with the side of the trailer. He has it at the back of the trailer but it is off the side so he can still open the ramp. Then he uses something he built but similar to this http://www.amazon.com/Camco-51611-Hitch-Flagpole-Holder/dp/B004IVGA0G to hold the flag pole. It works great you just need to do a little fabrication to make it work.

sagebel - Thanks for the idea. I'll have to take a look and see where I can weld to under the camper. Fabrication is not an issue.

There is a bolt through the frame that mounts the PVC to the frame (you can see the hole used to tighten it in the PVC pipe). Lets face it, this mod will only keep the lazy thief at bay just like anything you lock up.
